When you pick up your phone, you will receive a card with your phone number,
your PIN code (Personal Identification Number) and your PUK code (Personal
Unlock Key).
The PIN is the code you need to turn on your phone. Never forget it and please
don’t change it! If you forget your PIN code please contact us immediately.
After entering an incorrect PIN code 3 times, your cell phone will become
blocked. To unlock the phone please enter your PUK code, followed by the correct
PIN code (2 times). This should solve the problem, but please contact us for any
further assistance. Warning!
Please DO NOT disable the PIN code. The code is for your own
protection. If you disable your PIN code and then lose or misplace your cell
phone, others will be able to enter your phone and place calls. You will be held
financially responsible for all calls made on your cell until you have notified
Student Cells of your phone’s loss. This can be done 24 hrs/ day by calling the
number provided with your phone. Text Messaging From Italy If you send a text
message from Italy to the US, the charge is Euro 0.30 per text message. This is
a flat rate per text message. There are no other fees added to the Euro 0.30
text-messaging fee. A text message is 160 digits (including spaces, commas,
etc.). Text messages sent from Italy to other Italian cells is Euro 0.15 per
message. There are no charges to receive text messages when in Italy. |

To call the US from the cell phone while in Italy Dial 001+area code+ number.
To dial any international number from Italy, dial 00 + country code + number.
The Country code for the USA and Canada is 1.
You can replace 00 with + (e.g. you can dial either 001 707 123 4567 or +1 707
123 4567)

From the US or Canada dial: 01139 + full cell phone number.
From the rest of the world dial: (00) 39 + full cell phone number. The country
code for Italy is 39.
You can replace 00 (or 011 from the US) with + (e.g. you can dial either 001 39

1. Turn on the phone, unlock it, put in your password and then press 4200 and
you’ll hear a voice in Italian.
2. IMMEDIATELY, I press #
3. You then hear in Italian “digita il tuo codice personalizzato” and please
press 1111
4. You then immediately press 9 and then 1
5. Then please wait to hear the beep and then record your personal message. When
you’re finished please press star * |
